Exciting plans ahead for the Frankel colt Triple Time winner of the Group 3 Superior Mile

TRIPLE TIME, the Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum homebred colt by Frankel, won his first Group race on his first start at stakes level – and on his first start as a three-year-old.

Although it was a depleted field, the colt was most impressive. His trainer Kevin Ryan is dreaming of top class success and making up for lost time after missing out on a Classic campaign.

“Triple Time is a very, very good horse – he’s a special talent. I was devastated when he went wrong before the Guineas because I thought we had a real chance,” said Ryan.

“He was lame and then we found a tiny stress fracture. We’ve given him loads of time as he’s a big horse and it’s great to get him back. This was coming a bit quick for him and I’d have loved to have had another fortnight.

“He’s typical of a top-class class horse; he’s got bundles of natural speed. He was a bit fresh today; he’s quite an exuberant horse and he’ll probably end up getting 1m2f as he gets more relaxed in races.

“He’s in the Prix Daniel Wildenstein on Arc weekend and I’ll have to discuss all our options when I speak to Sheikh Mohammed Obaid.”

It is a long-developed pedigree by the owner and the colt is a half-brother to four black-type winners, headed by Ajman Princess (Teofilo), winner of the Prix Jean Romanet (G1)

Reem Three had a 2021 filly by Kingman , a 2022 filly by Night of Thunder and visited Pinatubo this spring.
